Its unfortunate that you feel fooled by this amazing process. Please read the information provided with each piece of art on our web site including Positive behavioral training techniques and non-toxic paints are used as Hong and her trainer collaborate to create this unique art.Isnt it amazing that this elephant can exactly retrace her lines as she paints this image?Your referenced animal abstract art is a trained/guided behavior.

This is a lovely video, and elephants are wonderful, but don't be fooled into thinking this is more than any trained animal 'trick'. If you look on exotic world gifts website, you'll see many of these original paintings and they are all identical. The elephant is not creating this painting in the sense we think of a creative art piece. However, elephants and chimps do create some fantastic abstract art!

omg...all the ignorant comments of this so called abuse are crap. Not all humans are like those 3rd world circuses that PETA films. Elephants are very smart creatures and if they were abused, they would retaliate and turn on the people working here. Its been seen before...

If Elephants had two trunks as we have two arms, i have little doubt that we would be sharing the planet with another sentient species :-]

There has to be a god in order for another animal, not so different from ourselves, to be able to produce creative works?

Asian elephant experts state that an elephant can be abused in order to get them to knock over a tree or haul logs. Any kind of abuse is counterproductive to developing the fine more skills required for painting. This elephant was never abused. So please enjoy this painting process and acknowledge the elephant as being an amazing creature.
