A very insensitive and stupid statement, but then again that's what weve come to expect from republicans.

wow, they must feel stupid for saying that now. I bet if it was your grandma or whichever guardian that raised you, I'm pretty sure you would go visit them! They need to stop saying "grandma" like its a pathetic old lady. She was a secretary for Bank of Hawaii that rose to be one of the first two women to be Vice Presidents of the bank. Show some respect for other people's role model.

Maybe when someone close to Blakeman gets gravely ill he'll realize what a prick he really is.

Guess Mr. Blakeman must feel pretty much a cad now, with Obama's grandmother having just died, only days after her grandson's last visit from across the ocean, and the day before Election Day.

Presidential candidate Barack Obama surprised political observers yesterday by suddenly withdrawing from the campaign trail to spend some time with his elderly rival John McCain. McCain who is 97 years old and very frail is said to be fading fast and Obama wanted to see him one last time before he was gone forever. Barack knows that he could never have got this far if it hadnt have been for old man McCain. He owes everything to him.

Thank you. The real messages of Joshu have been so misused by many people who call themselves Christian. The basic tenets of Joshu, Sidhartha, Parshvanatha, Confusious and many others are almost identical. The problems originate from the differences. It is the differences that separate humanity, one from the other. None of these special people talked about differences, but rather commonalities. Let us finally come together as humans. Let us recognize that we are all in one reality, together.

No, not all Christians are Republican, only the weird ones. Real Christians are neither Democrats or Republicans. It seems that most American Christians, however, are bigots who don't truly exemplify Christian principles but rather are hateful and exclusionary. Christians like Dobson and (god bless his soul)Falwell are the antithesis of what Joshu was talking about. They are examples of the people who he was fighting against.

Republicans are from some strange different world. They really are. They believe in some imaginary Santa Claus type God that they pray to protect them from.....what. They have this thing that everytime someone is saved from a catastrophe that God stepped in to help but that when people die then, "God works in mysterious ways," and, "Who are we to understand God's plan," and some such bullshit. Let's make this the last election where belief in some god is a prerequisite for becoming the Pres.
