hitsugaya u say hes not that fast like he made him out to be bro he runa 4.3 40 and by the way Sthirteenturbo bolt ran the 40 yard dash for nfl prospects bc he was thinking about going to the nfl and he ran a 3.7 40 yard dash so ur completly wrong if he can only run a 40 yaard dash at a 4.25 that would mean that chris Johnson is faster then him ur way offf

what makes this even more impressive is Noel's line is infact, quite bad..

James Jett played receiver at West Virginia and with the Oakland Raiders in the 90's. He beat Carl Lewis in the 100m pre-lim and was a member of the gold medal 400m relay team in Barcelona 92'. (didn't train) So if you are saying historically no player in the NFL could ever run a sub 10.00 100m, you're wrong.

The assumption of constant speed isn't necessarily warranted. Since you start from a stopped position, you have to have time to speed up to full speed, so the farther the distance (assuming you run the whole thing before slowing down), the faster rate of speed you're going to average.

in order to get sub 4sec 40, hed need to get top end speed right out of the box and maintain that speed for the entire 40 yards.... not possible... since hes normal out of the box but a phenomenal finisher after the half way point, he just doesnt run out of gas....

> Sthirteenturbo said on 10-10-2009 at 22:00:
wrong, no human can run a sub 4 second 40... not even bolt... if you watch his sprints the first 30-40 yards is even with the rest of the pack, then he uses his god given talents to break away from them... his outta the box speed is just as fast as everyone else but his top end speed and his ability to maintain that speed is out of this world.... but his first 40 yards is normal, he'd be like every other fast 40 guy, between 4.25-4.35...

hahaha lol that was rude.

109.76 yards equals 100 meters. If you multiply 100 times Bolt's time (9.57) and then divide by 109.76, you will find Bolt's time for a 100 yard dash if he were maintaing a constant speed. That time comes out to be 8.72 seconds. If you divide that number by 10, you get .87 seconds per 10 yards. If you multiply .87 by 4 equaling 40 yards, you get a time of 3.49 if he were to maintain a constant speed for a 40 yard dash. That's why I say 3.9 is reasonable for Bolt to run.

Not to be rude, but I know that jackass. Chris Johnson is currently the NFL's fastest player, but it doesn't mean he is the fastest NFL player of All-Time. Bob Hayes, Bo Jackson, Deion Sanders, Darrel Green and others could run sub 4.3 times, just like Chris Johnson. Like I said, Olympic sprinters train their whole lives to run and put up 10.00 100m times or better. Not person in the NFL can run a sub 10.00 100m. It's not an opinion, it's a fact.

If anything, Asafa might run about a 4.2-4.3 in his 100m sprints bc his starts are some of the best ever and he is a much better starter than Usain. Bo Jackson had an incredible 40 at a 4.12 handtime and he only ran a 10.4 in the 100m. His top end speed wasn't as strong but his start was sick.

> BreuckelensFinest said on 09-19-2009 at 16:36:
Yes when you calculate it, not that he actually ran a 3.875. The beginning of a race is the slowest part of the race bc it's called the "Drive Phase" and the last 50 meters of a 100 meters is a lot more faster bc of momentum that was built up. Ben Johnson's 9.79 was actually figured out that he ran a 4.37 in his first 40 yards and his start is considered the fastest start ever and it was actually faster than Usain's start in his 9.58 but his "Top End" speed is the best in the world!

the fastest in the nfl is 4.24?! by chris johnson. do you watch football? not to be rude.
