I saw this movie when it firast came out. Zoe was my favourite and the most memorable of the stories. I looked it up to show my daughters.

I saw New York Stories in 1989. Orginally, "Life Without Zoe" was the last story in the film, however, Touchstone Pictures re-cut the film and "Zoe" was sandwiched in between Scorsese and Allen's far better movies, reason being audiences walked out of the self indulgent Coppola rubbish. Good thing you can cut out the whole embarrising affair with a couple of presses of a button on DVD.

This shit has been written by the then young Sophia Coppola. Her script is as ugly and pretentious as she is. Her later films are made of the same stuff: her ugliness complex. She has been a rotten spoiled child, but an ugly child, in a world where beauty matters. That's why her movies suck

Heyy, Father Guido Sarducci!!!!!! I love how Don Novello is not even trying to play a different character here. he's like, you want me, you're getting Guido Sarducci. that's my one act, take it or leave it.

Do you know the name of the flute piece at the end of this story? It´s a variation on mozarts Ah! vous dirai-je, Maman or twinkle, twinkle little star.

Heather McComb could almost be an exact twin to Sofia Coppola, Ill bet that's why Coppola hired her.

This is not the complete segment. Only a half of it.Zoe, who is played by Heather McComb does a fine job. James Van Der Beek from Dawson's Creek is her husband. If I remember correctly they had a Jewish marriage.

This story received abrasively negative reviews when it came out. However I really liked it. A pleasant segment. I love Zoe's reaction to Julio Iglesias!! I wish I could have lived that luxury apartment lifestyle when I was a kid, would have loved every minute of being spoiled rotten. By the way, the young girl is now in her 30s and married to the actor James Van Der Beek
