@lynette1953 After spending $5,300 US to rebuild my 1.8t engine in my Jetta because of sludge problems, I'd have to say, "Right." Of course VW covered Audi TT and Passat's with the 1.8t for free, but if you were a dumb schmuck like myself that bought a Jetta with that engine you were SOL. Also, to replace a clutch cost $1200 US - should've just bought an automatic. I failed to mention the rubberized skin in the interior that started peeling off.Now thanks, German engineering sucks!
