I use the horse meat as bait for my other passion, hunting black bears. But there are no laws requiring you to remove the carcass after killing the (wild) horse as there are for other game. You can shoot a horse anytime and leave it where it fell. No one cares. They are regarded as pests.

What people dont realize is that animals and life arent ours. they belong to their Creator. Since this planet and the animals that inhabit it arent ours, who gives us the right to harm and kill? hunting should be banned. i know there is the argument that if people dont hunt, there will be too many animals and they will starve. but i say that if that is the case, people shouldnt have killed off all the natural predators. when you mess with nature everyone is screwed

Yes, it is indeed sad that someone would hunt such an animal when it is not necessary for their survival. Hunting for game is unethical, to say the least, and most likely a result of people with nothing better to do wanting to exalt themselves with trophies and exerting unrighteous influence over these beautiful gifts of God we call horses. It is not against the law to hunt wild horses. In fact, you need none of the licenses or "tags" that you would need to hunt other game species. A valid firearms/bowhunting certificate is all. Also, there is no season for it... you can hunt them year round. But they're so remote and protected by natural barriers that few people are willing to put in the effort. It's a great sport though.

It's alot of fun bowhunting wild horses. Seriously, there are several herds in nothern Canada on the edge of the boreal forest. We hunt them all the time.
