It's not a mash up. The riff sounds different from the New Born one on purpose.

Yes, HE played it. It's not a mash up. The band rerecorded Cry Me a River in order to resemble a Muse cover. The singer does a very good job trying to imitate Matt's style. As for the intro riff, it's different from the New Born one on purpose, since it's NOT a mash up.

the new born riff is totally off, but the riff is kinda funky and I like it :D Not a fan of mash ups but this ones done really well
