The ending theme song was sung by a Japanese group called Godiego. The song is titled Gandhara and I believe is available on iTunes. They have both a Japanese and English language version, although the Japanese version is difficult to find. More information can be found on them on Wikiepdia.

I remember at school (years ago) there was a debate over this and the water margin; which was better. Most went for the water margin, but I went for Monkey, it was so cool and funny, as well as crazy.
