dont get me wrong, im a HUGE fan of muse, loved them so much and is crazy over them...but to be honest, if it wasnt michael jackson who made really poplar song and sang in falsettos, making it a very mainstream singing technique nowadays, singers nowadays(including Matt Bellamy) wouldnt hv incorporate falsettos in their music...

It has touched billions because it is mainstream pop and plus he is a freak of nature which would get a lot of attention. You obviously haven't heard muse, because it's not as mainstream - It's alternative rock.
