Thanks mirekkrejci03. Still working on this project for the animation, hopefully can make the finished render appear better.

shadows too hard, needs falloff, shadows dont look like that.., your environment doesnt do the model justise and your lighting looks blown out.., id be thinking of a mental ray environment.., something simple and self illuminating

Hey Alacoque3030, its purple because I have changed my display properties appearance in win xp. It's not to do with the software (maya).

I have learnt the basics of 3DS Max at an adult college, I have only touched the surface of the software tho to create a short animation. I feel more confortable with Maya to be honest tho, because I have spent more time with maya.

Thanks for your comment asdfxyz1. I use Maya in my spare time when I get the chance, so I would say I have used the software for about a year. I am animating this model at the moment, ill post on youtube when I have finished :).

Thanks for your comment Own463. It took a fair bit of time. The hardest part was making the final render look good by using the shadow attributes and adjusting the intensity of lights in the scene to get the desired look.

Must have taken you quite a while to make that :oQuite new to Maya myself, and just finished a neat Maya tutorial on making a suspension rig... Nice job.Keep it up ;)

good idea for a model. You should definitely give the animation a go. See what happens. And then retry it again later and maybe add people one day. You've done a good job though
