They had cuts. Nobody could have done this in a single shot without mistakes. Same goes for "Singing In The Rain" by Kelly and most other song-and-dance numbers of that film. Nevertheless - outstanding achievement. Unrepeatable these days.

Now THIS is comedy. Hardly anything that passes for comedy today is even close to the entertainment factor of stuff like this. I love this movie.
