Ah beauty...I love women myself but this boy is very pretty in a girlish type of way. At this stage of a boys youth its possible he may turn into a rather masculine man, thats the hope of men and young girls I suppose...Thats the thing about true beauty, some things should just never be touched...Gerry...TheGmcFilms...

Björn Andrésen siempre serás el más bello en mis memorias cuando vi esta película por primera vez. Bello y talentoso.

He truly has the most beautiful face! Angelic, tender and sweet! He is very hypnotic and mesmerizing. I've seen 'Deacth in Vencie' MANY times, and everytime, I just can't take my eyes off of his face. I LOVE the bone structure in his face. Symetry is the beauty of proportion and B'jorn certainly has that!

this summer on my seaside, here in italy, there was a boy very similar to bjorn, but he was 13.he was gently an so sweet.the only thought i've done was:i hope that nobody, never, will destroy your innocence and beauty like too many people have done with bjorn andresen.

Yup, I'd be gay for that. Andresen was beautiful. Simple. No arguement. Mind you, Mahler 5 helps...

Sarebbe stato divino anche per "Il ritratto di Dorian Grey": Bjorn ha incarnato perfettamente l'ideale romantico di bellezza! Che meraviglia.....

The most beautiful combination of male and female I've ever seen. I would consider being gay for something like that. Well, maybe for a little while:))

While the "idealized reflection" of the self may apply for a particular pederast, in general, I find that theory to be wanting. Let me offer the possibility that the attraction in the case of the male is more spiritual in nature, as Socrates referred to it as a "divine madness" and a relationship that ultimately leads to the contemplation of the ultimate good or God. Therefore the "beloved boy" represents the express image of beauty, purity & goodness.

Good question too! To be honest I think the only difference is the obvious one.. a female has a vagina, and as part of the infatuation with her one dreams ulrimately of having a child with her. This is in the context of loving sex though, which is a much higher dynamic than simple pedophilia (although the witchhunters would condemn it as such). When the love object is a boy i believe the older man sees an idealised reflection of himself as younger.

I beleive your experience may involve a different dynamic when the love object is female. What do you and others think about that?

Great question. Yes I have had a Tadzio of my own. In my case it was a 14-year old girl named Charlotte. I am actually a piano teacher. And yes, the girl was my personal student, but NO - i never touched her in any way! I was obsessed and in love/lust with her beauty and innocence. I understand completely the movie's sentiments, even though in this case gay, but the principles are exactly the same: obsession and worship of beauty and a painful impossible wish to possess it.
