when I was your age I had never heard of Mahler and yes this Adagio is one of those musical pieces you will never part with ..It kind of "robe" itself a little niche in your heart.I am sure this piece will also open the doors to a kind of music you have not yet discovered ..good for you.i wish you ,una bella vita,eu

this music is stunning. It says so much without telling one story.

Mahler is great, but the 8th symphony is best.

If you look at the Annotations every time they pop up for a new scene, thats the title of the movie. In this case it's Brazil.People have been asking what movie are these clips from, I haven't been bothered answering because the answers right in front of there face. plus it's also in the information section.Hope that helps out.

MAHLER is an addiction for life. Please listen to his other symphonies. The music is sublime&in your mind forever more.

I agree, but people must want to be enlightened. True art demands that the listener/viewer at least attempts to (however briefly) elevate his or her own mind to that of the artist themselves, to that higher state of conscious awareness that made the creation of such great art possible.

i am sort of high at the moment which makes his music, in my opinion easier to take in.......what a crazy, intense ending!!!!!

this is quite a piece of music.....it is very hard to evaluate just what is on this composer(Mahler's) mind when his music is played...it is almost like the music drifts into so many different emotions, with celerity that you can't pinpoint the idea.......all i know is that when i hear some of his music I detect some insanity.....like insanely deep shit!!!! AWESOME! I wish I was this good at writing songs!

Hmmm .. so does your elitist snobbery preclude that only person's of a certain intelectual capacity are allowed to enjoy such music .?.. Better to try to enlighten those who have yet to be enlightened, than leave them in shallow 'Britney Spears' squalour. ;-)

This is interesting....Indiana Jones? Jurasic Park (though this one isn't very original)? I'm very intrigued!
