what are you saying?? cups are metaphor for the earth, wrong. You totally missed the point. Materialism and greed are the cups. The coffee is the just simple life. When we learn to be grateful for that life we realize that the cups are simply an illusion. Much of this is talked about in ancient Chinese proverbs.

@swagv Lol, nice, I do agree with that, but the taste improvement is psychological from the fact that you know you are drinking from a preferable cup, as opposed to a cup you do not like which would psychologically decrease the enjoyment. But this video has a nice message!

The premise of this video is actually false. Research studies have shown that the choice of a coffee cup does affect our perception of a coffee's taste. Check the Journal of Consumer Research for a recent such study by Aradhna Krishna (University of Michigan) and Maureen Morrin (Rutgers University). And more than anyone else, guess who publishes these stories in journals and reads the research?University professors. That's who.

Even if you could have everything you ever wanted, material things wouldn't be what make you truly happy. You are what decides on whether you are happy or not.. The happiest people I know are the people that make the best out of what they DO have instead of what they DO NOT have.

I blame a lot of todays stress on consumerism and advertisemet. They start targeting people as childeren then keep on going. Another good video on here is "good life parable" and "affluenza"!!!

If the cups are a metaphor for the earth and if in this story there were more people than cups then those who got the cups would find that they came to have a value despite varying cup quality and they would be able to charge the non-cup holders for the right to have/use the cups. Regarding earth: a small percentage of our kind own most of it and have the right to charge the rest of us an unearned fee for access to our own planet. Sharing cups is called for now so all can have life. Nice music.
