You're definitely right about that. The U.S. episodes, just like any other U.S. reality shows are edited for theatrics and drama.

i love these UK episodes more than the ones in the U.S., cuz you get the sense that Gordon sincerely cares about these people and hopes they succeed

Because it's hard "WORK" and sometimes you just need a boot up your arse.At the other extreme you'll just burn out.

I agree lol I'm from Canada and I have family born in the UK. I've always wanted to move there plus I'm younger and I have friends there and the accent isn't difficult to pick up if your younger and if you spend a lot of time there. Also Canadian accent isn't as strong as the American. But I've always been into British music and culture the accent is really easy. i can't wait to move after college!! :)

Gordon has a unique "damage control" way of looking at things. I like his approach. He didnt have to stay and help out. He couldve very well just been like "bollocks lady..what the fuck!!!" and walked out. He stayed cause he cares. As far as the allegations go about him and his restaraunts...even if it is true. Gordon cant be everywhere all at once. If there are shortcuts being taken he may not know about it. If you call your girl and ask if its cool and she says yes...how do you know?

I think it would be easier too if the kitchen wasn't up a flight of stairs. Servers must go through hell, especially if a few of them are all trying to go up or down the stairwell at once.
