Dude, I'm thai and I must say that yes, Khaosan if cheap, dirty, shitty place. But is it a fun place to be? Yep! Sure there are many, many other beautiful places in Bangkok and Thailand, but at least you gotta check out khaosan rd. or you are not really visiting Bangkok! Anyway, peace!
