Beautifully sung and brilliantly acted. I love both this and the 2000 version. This Jesus seems to be spirtually deeper; the 2000 version Jesus is more emotional.

The only musical that I really love (being a straight male). Saw the broadway version a few years ago with Carl Anderson (from the '73 movie) as Judas and Sebastiann Bach (metal singer) as Jesus. It was okay...but nothing close the movie.

Mary Magdelene has a good voice, no doubt, but I can't stand it either. It just droans lol.I think Ted Neeley easily has a better voice than Glenn Carter, same with Carl Anderson and Jerome Pradon. Anderson all the way.
