What you are basically saying is that people should speak YOUR language because you want to know what they're saying. That reminds me of the colonization. If they wanted to desperately communicate something to you (and all other nosy people who think English should be spoken by all) then they would get a translator and write in English. Others learn Spanish and Mandarin.As for Mandarin speakers being in China, you're incorrect. If you go for a stroll you might actually encounter people who speak Mandarin and aren't Chinese. Instead of them speaking English maybe you should go learn Russian if you want to understand what other people are saying.

Well international doesn't mean English, international means every person, every language, every religion, every everything. So you should either say "stop talking Russian, we're national (British/American, make your choice)."Or "keep talking Russian because we're international".English =/= international. If we were to make an international language it would probably have to be Mandarin anyway because there are more speakers of Mandarin than English.
