i already have one lined up to buy. Its black with all the options including the more sporty looking front bumper. I also got to test drive the car. Didn't you LOVE the LED display that shows your how well your driving in relation to fuel economy. I'm SO exited to buy it... My Toyota gets about 13mpg, compared to the AWESOME 45mpg of the insight.

People think it's a prius rip-off design-wise. The truth though is that any efficient design will look similiar for one simple reason...THE REAR END. The most aerodynamic design possible is a fastback rear, which both the prius and the insight have to use. Ergo, they are going to look alike no matter what. Best they can do is futz around with the front end a bit.

you have a point. but still is better then driving a 100% fosil fuel consuming car that has also its parts ships all over the world. look on the bright side :).

mar-jizz is right in believing that hybrids are ugly, but wrong believing that shape is non-functional. Air resistance is a major factor in fuel economy. Anyway, hybrids are good only at saving money in your wallet and not saving the environment. With the old Prius, Toyota had to get all the parts from around the globe, using fossil fuels to move the stuff around. (I don't know if Honda or Toyota have changed this.) The real future is in the tech behind the FCX Clarity, in my opinion.
