And thats why someday UPS will take over USPS right? You'll see when USPS starts delivering only 2 days a week instead of 6

I'm an auto tech for UPS. Best company to work for hands down. UPS is about long term as far as employment goes.

(had to use 2 comments because I ran out of space)So yeah, anyone who complains about UPS and damaged items, it's usually because of improper packaging. It's not UPS's fault if you don't follow their guidelines on how to package your items.

I worked at a hub for 4 years as a sorter.Lemme just say, people that ship stuff through there are idiots!I was always coming across boxes that were packed so full of stuff, the walls of the box were bulging out, boxes used that were so old they were deteriorating, boxes with 2 labels (the old label wasn't even x'd out with a marker), wrong tape used (electrical or scotch tape instead of box tape), no attempt made whatsoever in terms of bubble wrap or packing peanuts to protect the items, etc

They are onlu showing the easy jobs. Show the hard jobs like the loaders and unloaders. I was an unloader at UPS before I quit. All I have to say is its not worth it. UPS at the hub are just slave drivers. They expect way to much from people just for the 3 hours you work there a night.

I have used most postal carriers and have only had problems from UPS!Now instead of getting problems, if UPS try and make a delivery to me, i refuse the package and swap suppliers!!!

I work the morning loading shift at a UPS center in a downtown area of a relatively major city, and our center doesn't look a lot like this one. Ours is mostly older and more broken. And to a lot of people in these comments, keep in mind, while it's easy to just give us all flak and see UPS as a faceless corporate entity, most of us are just regular people doing our jobs as best we can, day in and day out. We're no more infallible than you are.

yeah whatever about proofreading. i just don't give 2 shits about this job. I'm glad tomarro is my last day at the toledo hub. I'm only 1 week away from my 1st year anniversery, and i gotta go off to college. Couldn't get job transfered cause of just the one week, plus the other hub wasn't asking for any newhires when peak season is coming up. Horseshit! only alternative is an rehire card, i can go work possiably any hub around the U.S, but gotta start over from scratch.

You don't need to be a sup to have a walkie, I started off working in the same area as her, she's nice and works hard. And I hate people who get all huffy when they see a sup working, it's not like they're getting paid any more by doing so, and it's not like you get paid less, you still work for the same amount of time. So don't complain just because you can, it's stupid. By the way, learn some basic grammar and how to proofread before posting.

What you're seeing here is only a small sampling of small sort, it gets very, very busy sometimes, especially at peak. Plus it may not seem like hard work while watching this bit, but those bags can get heavy, max of 10lbs a package, fill a bag and they can get heavy. not to mention how hot it can get while working. I'm sure that there are harder jobs at UPS, but smalls is not the cakewalk it's made out to be in this video. Debag and bagging/scan and linking are the toughest parts in my opinion.
