gaurikripa, this is a curious psychological tendency. If something is too obviously good and beyond compare, or if someone is too obviously good with his ability, some people have the tendency to run it/ that person down by making dubious comaprisons often with things/ persons unrelated to the context (like someone comapring the singing ability, mind you not composing ability, of baburaj and KJY). These oultlandish claims are the result of such churlishness.

It is fashionable to say that KJY is mediocre.I just saw a comment made by a Kamukara fan.Well...what can i say.If some one says he.she doesn't like KJY,i can take that. But saying that he is mediocre an absolute shocker!

that was good, eventhough i could not read the comment which u r responding to as it has been removed, i agree with you. No body among the male singers can match Yesudas, even legendary Rafi or Gulam Ali or Talat Memood or Mannadey or Kishor Kumar, There is SP Bala who is somewhere near.

hairy.., don't be a hard-to-please grumpy. This is a film song, my dear. Beautifully sung by KJY. And by the way, the lyrics were written by SreeKumaranThampi, and not ONV. So much for your expertise!SKT typically strings together disparate imageries to create the effect. Don't dissect it.It is fashionable to put singers like Talat above the likes of KJY. Talat is extremely good in his limited repertoire, though.KJY is an infinitely better singer.

That's too far-fetched, hairytube."Phir wohi shaam" is good, one among the best by Talat mahmood, but this song way ahead and far superior.

i guess the main problem is that malayalam directors are these days trying a lot to ape tamil and hindi movies.........we dont need that.....even though old malayalam movies didnt have the glamour of tamil.............they had there own class.............please stop copying......

i second that, should admit that there's no standard in the present day song picturization, except for a few directors who still opt for the old methods of minimal distraction.
