Earth would have probably gone the same way, but luckily, as it cooled plants grew to absorb that CO2, buckling the reaction. Now humans burn those plants that save our asses from those millions of years ago in fossil fuels (animals that ate the plants, plants itself etc). So we are getting all that CO2 that nearly doomed us, and sticking it back there.

And also, humans WON'T be the only thing that dies. You can't seriously believe that when we overload this place with shit and make it uninhabitable for us, it will be uninhavitable for US only. There is plenty of shit more fragile than humans. Just look at most amphibians, endemic species, etc. So in that 100,000 years it's uninhabitable to humans only? NOT to mention a huge chain reaction )which could happen) would make the planet like venus. You do realise venus used to be like earth right?

Yeah, if humans are wiped off the earth recovers, if insects are wiped off the entire balance of nature would collapse. But seriously, I'm no fan of the earths destruction- hence the name hippydude, but animals can't percieve the world or the state of it. Who's going to be around, if we die, to see this planet? Not to mention it's not all humans. Does our harmful way of life justify small islanders and tribesmen to die? No not at all. Not even ourselves tbh.

Animals are more resilient and are more easily replaced, it happen before it will happen again. When he are gone we are gone a species that has our unique abilities and nothing is really reliant on us. There is no reason to think that we need replacing. A planet killer is more likely to wipe us out then wrecking the environment, or we kill each other. It doesnt really matter anyway nobody will miss us either way.
