The controvery, I believe, is in the newness of the therapy. I have personally seen fantastic results as a dive medical technician and owner of Hyperbaric Solutions, LLC. I have had the opportunity to work with some truley heroic doctors who are willing to stake their reputation on what they believe and are proving works. I hope time will continue to show the successes of HBOT.

The availability of HBOT is rapidly expanding. Depending on your location, you should be able to find treatment not too terribly far. Let me know what area and I would be glad to help you locate a facility.

my friend is having it done in randolph ma, they can charge anywhere from $150 to $1500 and hour..the patient is usually in the hbot chamber for 2 hours

It's very good to see an positive inspirations of HBOT. My brother Mr. C. Ray. Broussard, here in Conroe, Texas had a brain injury around or about December 5, 2008 and is currently let him at the beging stage of Curt Allen. Today is September 30, 2009 and my brother Mr. Broussard is currently working on his 4th treatment of HBOT in The Woodlands, Texas. We'll keep everyone posted on this site for updates. I don't really see it as false hope. I believe that people are so quick to be skeptics, but at the same time, I do believe that the brain will heal on it's own accord. My boyfriend's current brain injury, axonal shearing, has been healing wonderfully with inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. When his mother asked the neurosurgeon about HBOT, he simply replied that the treatment is a bit controversial, and he didn't seem enthusiastic about it. But Curt does look wonderful, so, you never know

Indeed the Oxygen Revolution by Dr. Harch is a fantastic book. One of the only in the field that speaks intelligently to the lay without discounting the science of the therapy. Most of the books available are of little service to those just looking to learn a little more about the potential benefits of HBOT. Keep up the great work Dr. Harch, You have a fan in me! Also, as stated in a previous comment. An update on Kurt's current state of health would be fantastic!
