Correct that, half ton tahoe, you cant even get an H2 with a big block or a 3/4ton heavy duty transmission. GM should have based it on a 3/4ton suburban with a shortened rear end(behind rear wheels), big block and diesel options, dana 60 front and back. Then they would have an actual tough off road SUV

Youre kidding me? A new Land Rover would break down before it got to its destination! Unless you were talking about an old Defender of course... I dont think a modern Land Rover would have the kind of height clearance to take on this kinda terrain. But i must admit.. Range Rovers do look awesome!
