I ask: whats the point of educating young girls, when the males in their family murder them? Should not the men be educated about how to respect womens rights? Her speeches make me sleep because she says one thing, and ignores the real problem. How come she cant change or put pressure in the judicial system of Jordan to protect girls and women? Instead of traveling, she ought to start improving things at home.

"Around 15-20 women are murdered each year in Jordan in the name of honour, despite government efforts to fight such crimes. So far this year, 17 cases have been reported."______________How come these facts are not mentioned in her international speeches? The real Arab world, unedited.

"Murder is punishable by the death penalty in Jordan but in such cases of the so-called "honour killings" a court usually commutes or reduces sentences, particularly if the victim's family urges leniency. In the past, parliament has refused to institute harsher penalties."

"The source said the suspect has confessed to the crime following the murder, which took place in the Jordan Valley."His brother was also charged with premeditated murder, while the victim's boyfriend is being held in custody for his own protection," he added."

Jordan has a beautiful Queen. I cant wait for my Homestay Student from Jordan to arrive in New Zealand tomorrow. My respect is ever increasing for the new knowledge that I am gaining about this part of the middle east. Saudi Arabia takes the No.1 spot so far in the knowledge and respect that I have gained this year........think positive and discuss issues as they arise in a professional manner...you/I take responsibility...

I wish Queen Rania all the best and I hope to see improvements but I doubt it. Now Ill close my account as well, I prefer no forms of contact at all! I just came here to voice my opinion, but I prefer to stay away as far as possible from Queen Rania. No offence but Im not interested in contacts, thats all.

I just wonder how come Queen Rania did/does not add the youtube video entitled Honour Killings Jordan onto her youtube page? How come she does not speak publicly about honor killings? How come she does not create international pressure to end this practice? She is not genuinely interested in helping people, she just wants publicity and luxury. She fails to protect Jordanian women. She has no credibility.

I saw the Demacracy Qatar 2 YouTube video. Wow! What a remarkable woman Sheikha Moza really is. Sheikha Moza is actually improving primary, elementary, secondary, and tertiary (University education) enrolment, which is fantastic! What a LOVE and admire about Sheikha Moza is her genuine interest in improving access to university education, which is the major tool to escape poverty, not just primary education of 1 goal.

Sorry I intended to write: So people would not get the impression that she is trying to unfairly, and hypocritically make them feel guilty for their purchases, particularly due to her travel, vacation expanses. She does spend a lot more money on her luxuries. She does look very frail, she wasnt that frail looking years ago, she actually looked better, no offence.bye

Maybe she used the ice cream, pet example to show people that education could be affordable. But, if I were her, after using the ice cream, pet example, Ill say without wanting to offend pet owners, and ice cream lovers. She forgot to acknowledge in her Yale speech that regular people also donate to charities, NGOs, volunteer in 3rd world countries doing developing work.

Why didnt you give the example of the expansive clothing , shoes and etc you spend your money on? She wears designer handbags that cost nearly 3 thousand dollars! I suggest she donates the money she spends on fashion, since she can afford it, to help humankind instead of criticizing others expense habits! This woman is a joke! What an hypocrite! Somebody has to speak up! I prefer my Royal Family! Regards from Denmark!

I saw her Yale speech video! We Europeans spend money on delicious ice-cream and north Americans spend money on pets. (I happen to love our ice-cream, I have pets too, so what?) I know obesity is a problem, but believe me at least most of us, women, are average weight despite not being fat, despite not being obese, but at least we are not an unhealthy skinny -looking model-type of woman that is for sure!
