What I wanted to say is that, in strength tests, many women still feel it unseemly to perform well, especially so in relation to men. Men, on the other hand tend to go all out, even to the point of injuring themselves, rather than be thought of as weak. Still, I'm extremely sceptical of your proposition that men are 3 times stronger, but I've enjoyed the debate!

That arguement might be more convincing if Men didnt out perform Womwen in virtually every single Athletic event and if (Affirmative Action) didnt exist and perhaps if the Chicago Fire Dept after being sued by Womens groups hadnt video taped their Physical tests showing virtually all Women not even coming close to passing. No actually the Average Male is 3-times the strength of the Average Female I suppose I will have to look it up on the net to close this issue.When Scientists study human strength they dont do a poll called (How strong do you think you are?)....lol They do physical testing as research.

Cont'. It was mostly your over simplification of personality traits that drew my attention. I think that in the distant past, certain stereotypes may have held up. I believe that's much less true today. You can't get to the top in business, athletics, or in physical endurance, without an aggressive driven dominant personality, and women are proving that they have those qualities. The sexes simply don't conform so neatly to the steeotypes you outlined, in the post that I responded to.

Conservative', the items I referred to were from news clips. Partially I agree with you about men's physical strength, although the claim that the 'average' man is 3 times the strength of an 'average' woman is ludicrous. I would say that when a young fit man & woman are of equal size & body weight, the man is possibly 20% stronger. The problem in comparison comes from the cultural idiom, that men hugely overestimate their true strength, while women tend to underestimate their own.

As I have stated in other posts the Male/Female dynamic is found Globally which means it cant be society. Societal norms are limited to regions and by their very nature can not be Global which is admittedly less true with our Global Media and World traveling.A prime Example are Cows. The Females will either stand still or run from you while the Males will not only stand their ground they will attack and kill you.Look at the other Primates that all have a Dominant Male Leader.

Well I am not sure any of your claims are actually true although I wont argue the point because its irrelevant. Yes there are exceptions to every rule but that in no way makes the rule invalid.Men are bigger, taller, and stronger than Women. According to Biologists the Average Man is roughly the strength of 3 Average Women combined. Now does that mean you cant find a 5ft scrawny Man and a 6ft brawny Woman? No of course you can but for the most part Men are much bigger and stronger.

Hey ConservativeAtheist- Yes you are right- men and women are different. A prime example is Jelly babies- you would think there is not a smidgen of difference between boy and girl jelly babies. However, on closer inspection, you will find that boy jelly babies have a smidgen more jelly on them.
