Yeah true that, though there were actually considerable periods of Vietnam under Chinese rule. Which is essentially why many Vietnamese scholars, aristocracy, etc were quite accustomed to Chinese philosophy (namely Confucian) and had Chinese names and could also write and read Chinese. Then again same applies for much of Asia before the decline of Imperial Chinese dynasties.

Vietnam is located right next to Giant China thousand of years and remains independent because of it guerilla tactics. Many included the French and American fail to study Vietnam history, therefore lost war in Vietnam even with more powerful warfare.

Ceasar wasn't Brutal? He killed over 1 million when on his campaigns in Gaul. And when you consider the size of the population at the time, thats a hell of alot. He fought at the front of battle with his troops at times and you say he was "more of a poitician".he wasn't just a politician

to me... besides hitler... genghis khan is the most ruthless big boss around that ever came.. napoleon wasn't brutal, he was brilliant but not brutal.. ceasar was more of a politican rather than a ruthless guy.. attila the hun was the same as khan except khan conquererd more land and more nations.. the first king of china only conquere china, not the world.. genghis khan is freaking awsome and very very ruthless.. vlad tepes was ruthless but he's just a good story for children..

I know! People think he was ruthless, well he did give empires the chance to give up, and pay tribute but if they didnt, then he destroyed them!
