This is when Genesis played smaller venues.Watcher of the Skies and Selling England by the Pound concerts. Both times @ KCKS' Memorial Hall. That sub-bass would literally shake that old building! Yeah, it was great stuff!! :-)

The first minute induces you to think a really dark, bleak number is coming up, but it´s actually a joyful song. Just the footage is kind of dark.

Hey I didnt think much of this when it was sent by a friend. I´m really not into the really old stuff, but this is very good. Although the theatrical isn´t my thing I certainly appreciate the complex and elaborate arrangements.Thanx, you know who you are. Faveing.

Yeah, I agree this is the strongest lineup-they just didn't receive as much promotion and radio play as later Genesis and solo Peter Gabriel.

Really? I have a different picture. I've heard at least five times people saying that the time with Peter was the better one. And yes, it's good to know there is still people fancying prog rock from this time. The new generation in the 80's that i think genesis was a part of were mostly very slick and rather boring. Prog from this time have more elements of punk, which is positive i think :)

It's good to see so many Gabriel-era Genesis fans exist! I always thought this was a hidden gem in the prog-rock canon.
