Okay, I'm gonna get a lot of shouting in my direction, but whatever. I know it's part of their whole thing, kind of like their trademark, but I just really don't like the male "singer". And yes, it IS because of his gay voice. Nothing against gay people, but the accent just isn't pleasant to the ears. The two women though, they have great voices, really pretty sounding sometimes.

The original guitarist, Ricky Wilson (he was also the brother of Cindy Wilson, the B52's singer), used a blue Mosrite with his own weird tuning on it. It was Ricky's Mosrite who gave the early stuff that distinctive twanging sound. When he died in 1985, the B52s drummer, Keith Strickland moved onto guitar. Strickland plays Fender Telecasters and Stratocasters.The early stuff was just genius.
