Lighten up ? This film was nothing like real life. I have first hand knowledge of that. I have seen to many gruesome scenes in real life . This was a movie. That is what pisses me off the most, is that people think it is like real life it is not. Even if it was real life, glorification of the sickos that really do this by making a movie about them to make a few bucks is wrong. The people who do this stuff in real life should be forgotten. They should not be a profit center for directors

Wow then the director is the master of the obvious. People will do crazy shit. That does not mean they need to make a movie about all of the crazy shit. That is not a plot that is a reason. What is the plot.

This movie is a remake of a movie based on true events. The whole point of the film is to show that people will do some crazy shit without any reason behind it. That IS the plot.

Advanced phyco thiller my ass, this film is crap. If this represent quality horror, then horror film makers have lost their way. Describe the plot of the movie, you cant because it has none. Describe any twist the movie had, again none. Use your brain and demand more from these film makers not the same real life crap you can read in any news paper. They should make you think while they scare you. Gore is fine but killing children with no plot to back up the why and what for is just disgusting.

the way you describes it makes it look like hostel. you dont see anything in this movie. neither you see the dog being killed nor the kid getting shot. and no, it is not supposed to be "entertaining" its supposed to shock!its an incredible movie and definitely fucking scary if you have enough brain to like advanced psycho horror and not stupid monster crap!

The whole movie sucked. Killing kids with shotguns, beating dogs to death with a golf club ? If you find entertainment in this you need help. Seriously !! This movie did not have one, not one redeeming quality. This movie is so bad everyone involved needs to give all of the money that was made from it to people whom have suffered from real life tragedies at the hand of losers like portrayed by Pitt and Corbert, you guys should be ashamed to have made money from this pile of dung.

This film sucked, again with the glorification of killing innocent people? Michael Pitt was the same as he is in everything else he does, same chacter different name same hair cut to boot. What is so interesting about pathic losers like is portrayed in this film. Not scary, not unique. Hollywood get a clue. Stop already glorifing killing inocent people. Absolutely not...he did complete justice to the story line n the concept...the guy who winks at ya is the medium b/w the fiction world and the real one...its beatiful..n in real life der aint no happy ending.

The silence and the whole concept of lettin ur imaginations run wild by not showin wats really happenin was absolutely brilliant!!! n rit b4 the endin credits the last frame pausing on the guys face...i feared him...

actually it is called in the hall of the mountain king. we did it in music, it is a song about a boy called peter, he runs away from home and finds a cave full of trolls! then he laughed at the kings trolls daughter when she danced and they tried to kill him, peter ran away btu his best friend ace got killed! hehe i know this song
