I was in the release and the director said to me (and to some other people) he had to do it so people would see it in the united states."the fact is: there's no tradition of watching foreign films here, americans are not used to read subtitles"

Part 2: In this way it is a critic to American horror movies-he says: do u like violence, well I'll give u violence), in this movie he doesn't give us a imaginary world (classic in American movies as ghosts or psychopathics) but he makes violence using real people, using the spectator who is put "inside the movie" (when actors look the screen) as to say him: look, u r part of the game, because u like violence!! ... I think it is genial!

Part 1: vanessa good interpratation! Heneke, by the actors, talks about two worlds, "mater" and "anti-mater" (or something like tht, i don't know the english word to call that). The movie says us we live between the world of fiction and the "real-world". While in the fiction-world we enjoy watching extreme-imagines: violence.

It's not your typical good guy wins, americanized shit flick. and that is probably one of the factors of why people like it so much. that's certainly one of the reasons i thought the movie was awesome.

the movie is about safety. even when you think you have a beautiful home, with a beautiful family and a country house, everything can change, because safety and happiness are extremely fragile, like eggs!
