The second guy is the best, he does some tricks I can't name, altho I'm pretty sure I saw a trickywhu, love thoseAnd to those who thing kayaking isn't dangerous or extreme enough...Really? have u seen the things experts do? What the record waterfall jump, over 180 feet? Have u seen Hypoxia on the white Nile? You'd sh*t your bloomers before you even rafted down half the stuff we go through. There's a reason we wear helmets jackass

edging and torso rotation, and lots of practice . . . . gotta land on your head a bunch to find the balance point

The ability to roll your kayak with a reliable technique is a very valuable safety precaution

no a double pump isnt a cartwheel, its just submerging your bow and stopping yourself from going over, people use them to initiate a cartwheel but that is the only link!

yes you must be knowledgable about safety.but there is cocky and there is confident, and you must be confident in yourself to be safe as well.

First off, tbm... is half right, secondly just normal kayaking can be thrilling or at least for begginers anyway and it can just as easily be dangerous on flat water. My friend nearly died in a mere swimming pool (fairly small one) but thank god i saved him! Its dangerous in every occasion, care always needs to be taken and being cocky = being in trouble!

Hey man the beauty of kayaking is that you don't have to be the best in order to have a good time as long as you got good vibes then your accepted in the kayaking world it doesn't matter if your coolest trick is a spin or a space godzilla just as long as you got a smile on your face, or at least thats how it is on the east coast

More than likely but i didn't know that so thanks. I know what a hole is but not that they could have a seperate class to the river they're in.

i am afraid i am not wrong/yes it is like comparing track and freerunning/pakour (lets not fight about the definition of that) however. the first 2 parts of my comment are informational, stating that if you can drive fast and you like to drive fast, why not drive fast. the last part is my adrenaline loving side, loving the thrill of whitewater, because lets face it you get butterflies by looking at a wave not when looking at a lake

Wrongo sir. While I enjoy ALL kayaking forms, open water surfski and kayaking disciplines are just as appealing. And of course flat water racing in Olympic K1 and K2 boats is so rewarding since you know you reach amazing speeds and efficiency not because of the current or water, but because of your own manpower. It's like comparing running on a track team and free/parkour running. They both have their ups and downs.BTW, open water kayaking without the tricks can be just as dangerous.
