You now have several other people to get back to. Everyone who has posted in the past several days agrees with me. Thats a bit of a far cry from the owning you were claiming to do.

That is so true. If we were so imperialistic in the last 60 years, we would have taken over western Europe and a lot of other places. We could have done it, but we stood for freedom instead.

Out of context? This an extended version of his racism speech.Remember that in the fall, Adam and Eve handed full authority over to Satan. Until a new heavens and earth are created there will be evil and violence and injustice. Nothing is perfect separate from God. But we know false prophets and all will have their place in the lake of fire.

At the end of WWII we were the lone superpower. Russia had a large army, but no navy or air force to speak of. We could have planted our flag on any place on the globe. Any empire would, yet we did not.

THE only characteristic of empire is that our country contains a diverse group of people. However this is due to immigration, not conquest. We don't claim other countries as our domain and tax them into oblivion + demand they do what we want. About all that we demand is that you not attack us (see Japan and OBL) and after we have taken care of that, we give the government back to the people rather than taking it for ourselves. That is how we are different than an empire. How dense are you?

stave Samoa? No we are doing the oppositeinvaded foreign nations without provocation? US 2 (Japan and Iraq) Rome (Gaul, Spain, Germanic tribes, Carthage, Jerusalem, and countless others)Preventing German military aggression? What military aggression to you think Germany was capable of? Their "soldiers" were 14 year old boys and old men. You are delusional if you think anyone was afraid of German military aggression.

Well how many nations wanted Rome's protection. Again you're not making a case that the US isn't like Rome. What you are doing is making excuses for what we do but that doesn't change the fact the the USA is very much like Rome. Are you done yet?

Again how does this argument prove that we aren't like Rome? You are still missing the subject. Again you still keep saying Africa exported slaves. They didn't and if you had bothered to listen to my rebuttle you would know this. The troops left behind was to kept Germany under control of the US to prevent Germany from creating any future military aggression. If you read the articles of surrender you would know this. Again how many military bases do we have around the world?

Again we starve our territories like American Samoa. Again we did the same thing. You still haven't proved your point how we were not like Rome. Statistically we have done very similar things to Rome. We have forced trade with countries we have invaded foreign nations without provocation, we have toppled governments, put dictators in place that promoted US interests ahead of the betterment of their own people.

How many actually want us there? Obama just said that we would not help nations in Eastern Europe build a missile defense shield, and now those same countries are pissed at us. Why? They actually WANT us there because they are scared shitless of Russia and rightfully so. They already conquered them once.

You think those countries liked their position being Russia's bitch in the USSR? Now you tell me which one was more like Rome. Now bad to my previous point, troops left behind was to halt Russian expansion, not to impose a burden on West Germany. Big difference. Also you are still an idiot on the African slave trade. They have been exporting slaves all over the world for centuries and the US was only 20 years old when the slave trade was outlawed.

Economically Rome starved their territories. We prop them up. Rome had them against their will. They want to stay. Look what happened at the end of WWII. We had just toppled one of the most evil dictators hell bent on world domination. We helped rebuild and for the most part we let them do their thing. (Yes we kept troops, but that is for another reason) Now you look at Russia who never left the countries they had captured and used them for their own benefit.

Oh is this why Japan has been asking us to leave for the last 20 years? How many countries do we have military stationed in? How many regimes do we support like Rome did? What is the standard coin used today? Again if you do a side by side comparison of the USA and Rome you will find suprising similarities up to and including having a black ruler for a time.

Again Africa didn't export anything it was the Europeans that promoted the guns for slaves trade that created Chattel slavery. Yes, I am aware that Europeans used slaves in Europe and South America. That wasn't the point. The point was the US was their only customer for at least 100 years and like Rome slaves were intrigal to US economy.

Economically they can't but that's really not the point. Your argument was the USA was not like Rome, not whether the terratories benefited from their occupation. No I am saying that we provoked a war against Japan and targeted cities not military targets. My rebuttle watch?v=uI4WS2Rak9Q
