It's not just Chiluba embezzling funds. Look at the so called pastors and bishops. They go to America and Britain and ask for money for 'feeding programmes' and 'children homes' and yet it's all for their children who they send to America, Britain and Australia to school and live and for their fat wives! I think the government should stop giving tax concessions and land for any religious purposes. We're swamped with useless cults and churches as it is anyway.

Before we jump to such absurd conclusions,it might be worth noting that, the only reason Chiluba was not prosecuted was because the team appointed to investigate his alleged corruption was incompetent.I mean what kind of evidence is a pair of shoes?Get real Zambians.

Is how the cycle will be? Chiluba put Kaunda on trial then Mwananwasa put Chiluba on trial. Are all our presidents going to be put on trial. Waste of public funds.

Chiluba is a bigesst thief. He and his band of thugs have brought down the economy of our country and despite assurances by the current president to prosecute Mr. Chiluba, nothing has been done. I have completely lost faith in the MMD government and hope 2011 will be the last time we'll ever hear from this government again.

Chiluba will never be prosecuted for stealing all that money he store from the Zambian people. Unclefole is right; we have spent more money on trying to get Chiluba and his band of maniacs than we'll ever get from him whether or not his guilty. Mr. Mwanawasa was deemed incopetent upon assuming the office in 2002-so he tried to make himself popular by going after Chiluba and his collegues. The truth is, we'll never get Chiluba at all-he'll probably die of natural causes before he see court agai.

when i say worse things i mean, he appointed a constitution review committe that was asked to draft a new constitution that would seek to end unlimited executive powers, we spent atleast $40 million and when the draft was ready. The bastard refused to enact it into law.

Iam a Zambian Living in the United States.funny story is, the task force that was put forth to investigate Mr chiluba has actually cost the country even more that it would recover,we have spent millions of dollars trying to prosecute this guy and committed double jeopardy against him because, he was found not guilty but rearrested on the same charges. The point iam trying to make is this, this is nothing but political, our current president has legally done worse things.

Mwanawasa in the worst President Zambia has ever had. Chiluba allegedly stole 40million, Mwanawasa corruptly sold off Konkola mines for 30million and before the new owners could even pay for it. The company made 90million profit. Who is corrupt then?

This isn't funny at all, Chiluba is a good and respected man.But the only sad thing is that no matter wat he will be charged or mayb taken to jail for the accusations...this happened like years ago.
