And so what if he does? Marijuana doesnt lead to anything else, if youre going to do other shit youre going to do it with or without marijuana. Look at the amount of people who want marijuana legalized it's unreal how high it is, and then look at how many people want any of those other drugs legalized. Close to none, in fact there's so few there arent even polls for them. The good would far out weigh the bad if we legalized

cut the bs, you want marijuana legalized because you like to get high and have no concept the the effects of legalizing the drug, good or bad. first its marijuana then we will be legalizing lsd. drug dealers will go from selling weed to selling cocaine and crack. id rather have drug dealers selling marijuana.

its bad friends that lead to such drugs...that leads me to believe people need to school their kids better.. then drugs can be more controlled in distributionalcohol is alot more dangerous than weed i believe as a 4 year weekly/daily user of alcohol, weed and cigs.. i haven't used for over 4-6 years now, but yeah .. i started off with cigs because of bad friends..so the gateway theory is bullshit..i did cigarettes then weed and alcoholto distract myself from problems= need better parenting.

well weed made me hyper active.. and depressed lol.... i preach against it alot because it makes people lazy. also ..hallucinate.. or so i have seen on a documentary on discovery science..also supposedly it was proven last year prolonged use can make you schizophrenicanyhoo..i think weed is better than cigs... and heroin and.. crystal meth ..maybe even better than alcohol.. so i finally believe it could solve some problems if it was legalized =Olike it could help the economy P=end of part1

Ive never smoked a day in my life but I strongly believe pot should be legalized. Its not hurting anyone and it would benefit almost everyone.

I agree that it is a part of our historical development. I am simply arguing that from a natural selection perspective, the original common ancentry that split and developed to form the origins of the hominid would not have used drugs as part of their evolution. That would have impeded their ability to survive. After evolving into cro-magnon, we were able to direct its use in a safer ritualistic manner where bears couldn't eat us. It is part of our historical evolution yes, but not our biology.

That is open to debate. The hallucinations caused by psychedelic mushrooms are, in many cases, not a deterrent at all. In many cases they prove to be the opposite. People who appreciate the effects of the mushrooms cultivate them on purpose. Psychedelic mushrooms have been used by shamen for millenia. Shamen are an spiritual leaders and an important part of the tribal system.

Cannabis is safer than alcohol, tobacco, asprin, coffee, and many more legal and prescription drugs..since its safer ,it should be legal so that if ppl want to experiment with recreational substances, they can CHOOSE the safer drug first. Then they can CHOOSE wether they want to get into something MUCH more dangerous like alcohol and tobacco. The government would rather have you go straight to the extremly dangerous and addictive drugs like alcohol and tobacco..so this gateway theory is nonsense..

I support leagalizing marijuana and decriminalizing individual use of all drugs. That being said, I wanted to correct you when you stated that "drugs are a part and parcel of evolution." Some Plants and natural herbs cause hallucinations and other effects as a defense mechanism to keep man and other animals away from them. That is why too much use of certain drugs can be harmful. It's a part of our culture and history, not our biological evolution.

Just legalize it already, it's the 21st century and most people who use it have easy access to it anyway. I don't personally use any drugs, and rarely drink. I am not being guided by my own biases, anyone can see the benefits of this decision. It will untie the hands of our law enforcement community to allow them to pursue the real problem drugs. While we're at it, I say we decriminalize all individual drug use. Guy walks around with crack in pocket? So what, move on! Lock up the dealers!

@Onarugami yeah your right but then they can and will take other people with them thats why its not legal, dont you want them spending their life in and out of jail rather then someone like us being the ones who get killed or hurt by them?

if cocaine was legalized crack would disappear. For the people that wanna do meth still. screw them, they're fkd in the head anyway.

> Onarugami said on 11-28-2009 at 22:26:
I strongly support LEGALIZing all drugs. That because illegalizing drugs has severe drug cartel wars. The police spends millions enforcing the law. Death. If we legalized drugs we would increase comsuption but with that comes the responsibility to teach. To educate about the powers of drugs. NOW if people still want to do it, then let them. Let them die, i love when ignorance is dead.

we should make water illegal. it has been proven that drinking too much water will kill you. let's have our government babysit us and make sure we don't put evil things in our body like cheesburgers, and other high cholesterol and fatty foods.
