the original is without a doubt the better version. but i don't completely dislike the 2009 version either. I think they could have done more to live up to the original, but i enjoyed watching it :]

Too bad Erica Gimple's version was never released on an album. It is just as good as Irene's. The difference between the two performances is just like the diffrences between the original movie and series. One is more raw combined with unbelievable performing talent, the other more polished combined with unbelievable performing talent.
