All instant Messengers are like that too. People dont' realize that if you share Ideas or information on these sites/programs means they own it. It's no longer yours. change, don't delete.changing stuff you don't want facebook to keep will stop them from having whatever it was before.deleting it just deletes it from your account, therefore facebook still has it on their servers.
