Yea Mordem had its moment't but I just don't think it lives up to either the hype or pedigree. It's a PURE splatter movie. Not much, or any for that matter, suspense in it. But it does have its moments as you pointed out. I'd say it's worth a look though to all the horror junkies reading this.

Yeah, the original was cool. But i rather liked it when crusty(the chick) came into the story. it was kind of like a "wow, i never thought they could find a girl that would do this shit" sort of thing. and the guy fucking that dead girl in the bathtub...classic =')

August Underground was very good. However Mordem was awful just a bunch of rubber corpses not much depth at all. Penance was better but the AU is a classic.

Yeah, Leone's films might not be very "exploitive" but the films they spawned sure are. Check out Django, Django Kill and Cut Throat 9.

Anyone who takes any of THESE films seriously needs to check out a little thing called "August Underground". Then watch this video again and tell me how much "exploitation" you think these films have in them. :)

The new master of grindhouse films is Quentin Tarantino, and his pupil Robert Rodriguez. You should check out Planet Terror and Death Proof.

yeah like all the unrated straight to DVD movies that come out as well. I get what you meant now.

i meant exploitation films and i mean they've evolved into slightly higher budget films like any new zombie film, i would even say the super hero/disaster/epic movies are the same, and theres plenty of stupidly violent films out now.

Of course."Films made with little or no attention to quality or artistic merit but with an eye to a quick profit, usually via high-pressure sales and promotion techniques emphasizing some sensational aspect of the product"
