Can't anyone see that what McLaren calls critical pedagogy is actually "critical against the capitalist establishment for the creation of a socialist state" pedagagogy. That, my freinds, is not critical. It is political indoctrination and is a form of tyranny if teachers subscribe to it. I believe in critical pedagogy, but men like McLaren pervert it.

Peter, you are a Capitalist! I can't believe anyone would listen to you
and your Marxists theory. If you believe in what you teach, get your hands
dirty. Other than speaking about it, live the life you preach about! No, not a good idea, give it up instead.
puertopensee, you put it so well

Son/Puerto: We are all locked into capitalism and it is not working: The extreme elite get richer, the rest of us get poorer because we have a system that perpetually increases profits out of human labor (human capital). By uniting our efforts in solidarity, we can do better outside the system of capitalism. Peter McLaren works very hard and he also does not indoctrinate. He travels the world helping people; he is a theorist who is handing us the knowledge we need to help ourselves -- or not.
