Where are the' zero point energy' cars, generators etc....we know its out there. This is rubbish, the car just sucks energy then puts it back.

it's true for the world as a whole. There are smaller countries that do not use coal as their primary source of electricity, but "smaller" is the key word. the bulk of global electrical power comes from coal. I too point this out to green clown friends who talk about electric cars. ditto goes for recycling programs. It's just about all useless excluding the metals. most plastics and glass just pile up or get ground up as filler in something like road paving.

ALSO! IF YOU add a wireless energy pack to the ev it would have infinite milage! i remade nikola teslas wireless energy system, just check it out! wireless energy would allow all electric vehicles to run forever till the ac motor burns out which is 100s of years!!!!

Two things to your comments. First, most electricity used in the state of California comes from coal. It may not be generated in the state, but I assure you, you use power mostly generated by coal. Second, solar and wind power at most can be used to power 40% of a power grid without extensive use of battery and regenerative systems on a scale that is not possible. It is not possible by any standard to supply a power grid with all solar/wind, within reason. Nuclear is the best option for the rest

Exactly what I was thinking. Whats the point? That is a 27.75% loss of power, assuming 85% efficiency with the car's charging system(very conservative and I guess it is lower than that), when charging the car and then discharging back into the grid again. Very inefficient, and I don't get the point. Also, these cars carry a very small charge in the scheme of things. Not to mention peak demand is in the middle of the day, when these vehicles will be on the road. I think he's stealing power.

What exactly is your point? I stated that my electric provider is a nuclear plant. So using an electric car for me would be a near zero carbon footprint.

a nuclear plant produces millions and millions of times more energy than that car. go ahead buy millions of electric cars that cost 70k each.

Interesting idea, especially for places with reoccuring power outages... the only problem is that the circuits bringing power into the car lose something on the order of 15% give or take and if you need to put that power back into the grid you lose ANOTHER 15% or so... you losing a lot of energy giving back to the grid as heat...

he states-that the car is only as green as the electricity source, which solar and wind, as well as oceanic and thermal are taking hold.

Where I live we get electricity from nuclear plants. So if I had this car it would really be clean and green.

if this car had a V8 and burned gasoline, it would be warm and sunny in this video. This fucker could be wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and flip-flops. But instead this guy built this car, and a bunch of people are buying hybrids and Smarts and crap instead of Range Rovers and Suburbans and now look whats happening. The climate is fucked!!!!! its colder than ever, its always gray rain gray snow sleet gray tornado rain clouds gray sleet gray. Lets warm this planet up!! Buy V8 SUVs and sports cars!!!
