Ruthie Henshall is the BEST VERSION EVER!

My personal favorite is Ruthie's version - she has the most power and emotion. However, it's impossible to deny that Elaine and Susan have incredible talent. Elaine sings Memory perfectly, and Susan shows great potential.

i being a welshman have to agree with a lot of you.firstly this not the best recording of elaine singing this song.but however susan boyle has got a fantastic voice,no doubt about that.if you listened to both today i do not think you could compare.but for any critics listen to elaine page in musicals by andrew loyd webber?good luck and best wishes to susan and elaine may you both live long to give us many happy years of fantastic talent. love from WALESxxxxxxxxxxx

Forget all this....they are all brilliant. My Wife bent my ear for two years or so to go to see Les Mis in London. I (pillock) just didn't fancy it......pillock. If you have not seen it sell your Grannie and get a ticket. This song is just one of a number of fabulous numbers. Please, please. please go and see it!

Elaine Paige is a natural for God sake I remember listening to her as a kid back home now some 25 years on she is still at it. Will the likes of Susan Boyle still be at it in 25 years time. people need to get in the real world instead of jumping on the reality TV show band wagon. Yes Susan Boyle has a good voice but people put her on such a pedestal. No wonder she acts like a loon !!

Although I like the songs of Elaine Paige, I felt Susan sang it in a slightly better way. Susan has a strong natural voice. However Elaine sang Memory in the best way possible.

Love it! You really can't compare Elaine, Ruthie or Susan. They're all different people. Elain sang it great, but (to me) she sings Memory with perfection.

This is my first time ever listening to Elaine Paige. She and Susan have similar tone in their voices and somewhat different styles. Paige is obviously a very gifted top rate vocalist. Honestly I would have to say that Susan Boyle is right there with her talent wise. Elainie may be a tiny bit more refined, but Susan is far more dynamic.
