I was listening to a E-I podcast the other day where he was saying that he doesn't write a "set" like more traditional standups (Ricky G), but literally just rolls with whatever bits he thinks up on the spot (of course more are repeats than others, if they work), so I'd add "spontaneous" to your list of plus-es. Great stuff.

Good news :) Eddie Izzard *is* back in the UK and is currently touring here. I saw him perform 5 days ago and he was fab! Also he recently ran 43 marathons in 51 days around the UK in aid of charity. Google the BBC to learn all about it.

to me there is no current comedian as engaging, funny, wise & genuine as Izzard. He doesn't prattle on bout sex, jobs, relationships etc, he's different!! Wish he stayed iin UK I fear LA plasticland will deaden his soul like it did Idle & Pythons. They were amazing till they moved to US.& became US comics & a joke of themselves, bitter, cheesy & debauch.I'm from US, & our entertainment has been mostly dumbed down now. Run Eddie RUN!!
