The reason for the difference in Sabbath day? Originally, those of Judeo-Christian tradition believed that the God of the Bible rested on the seventh day (Saturday) after six days of creation, and rested on that day to honor this work. However, later Christians believed that Jesus died (or was resurrected) on a Sunday and changed the date to honor this instead.

Actually, the ORIGINAL Sabbath of Judeo-Christian tradition was celebrated on Saturday - it was changed later by various groups including the Catholic Church. Some Christian groups (such as the Seventh Day Adventists) still celebrate the Sabbath on Saturday.

^_^ Nice effort, I studied religion for 8 years hon. I know my stuff. Also, in religious tradition, the last day of the week which is Sunday, or the day God rested from making the earth, is SABBATH day. I do not appreciate being called ignorant when people don't get their facts straight.

ah Christ more people arguing about religion...I used to be a Christian, and it's all this arguing shit and how judgemental most of gods people are that made me quit. I found god working in my life but no one elses. people who don't claim to be Christian are much less uptight and have clearer heads. sounds better to me
