nah its referring to an Anglican prayer book that they use along side of the bible.Not sure why you'd reference Mao since he was around from late 1800's to early 1970 while the comparison was Church of England to the Spanish Inquisition which happened around the 1400's I believe and that was the Catholic church.

I think it's a reference to Mao's 'Little Red Book'.(It's a collection of quotations excerpted from Mao Zedong's past speeches and publications. Every Chinese person was unofficially required to have one during the Cultural Revolution. Small children memorised it, etc. Communism.)
