Hopefully this whale died of natural causes and eventually washed ashore. I'd hate to think some gun-toting idiot was blasting bullets into its body in the name of "sport." R.I.P. beautiful whale.

Im going to be honest here, anything that big scares the crap out of me. Im not saying its good that its dead, but if I ever saw one of these in person, alive, I would have a heart attack. Its too bad it died though, such cool creatures.

There are people like myself that are "Marine Mammal Medics" we get called out on a beaching of any marine mammals. Sadly with something as large as a blue whale we can only keep them comfortable with water on their skins and shade. They are currently working on methods of euthanizing whales as an injection would have to be so large that the whole beach would be contaminated. On smaller mammals we would try to refloat or take them into care if a seal

Oh my god... can you imagine going to the beach for a relaxing day with your family or something and finding THAT?! Oh, god, that'd be horrifying. That's so sad! What do people do with the whales they find on the beach? If anything... Is it like road kill where people go around and take care of them, or they just leave it? I seriously don't know.

It's a blue whale - there are several other videos about the same whale, which scientists confirmed to be a a YOUNG 70 ft. blue whale that died from a boat strike.
