Very sweet (if maybe just a touch heavy on the reverb). Love the subtly descending harmonies.

Derek, I have yet to find anyone here in the US that carries any of the WaterRoad guitars. The Sugita Kenji guitars look very interesting - the Carrera SJ is a things of beauty and that's probably the only pickguard I've *ever* seen that looks nice. There's a dealer about an hour from me. Road Trip time, I'm thinking!

Thank you for the information Scott! I will check them out when I have the opportunity. Have you ever heard of a Sugita Kenji guitars? I played a few at the Newport Guitar Festival in Miami Beach last April. They are outstanding guitars! Check out his website. Thanks again! -Derek

Pascal, you can order his Ordinary Life tab books from Pooh Yokocho, that website you gave me the link to on the APM forums.Hisao Torigoe from Pooh Yokocho actually recommended Shimoyama to me this morning, which is how I found this video. Lo and Behold... you were here within the last 24 hours!

It's a WaterRoad guitar, hand build by Akio Masuda. A lot of the popular Japanese fingerstyle guitarists seem to play WaterRoad guitars - Ryohei Shimoyama, Masaaki Kishibe, Isato Nakagawa. I think I've seen one in the hands of Masa Sumide, too.

Anchorite...yeah, think it's an Ovation Classic rig)wondered meself wot gitar as it is a nice one all right...Anyway, lots of people out there seem to dislike the amplification but I think that's the intent of the arrangement to get a 'twang'...maybe it is a bit too much but I thought this was a very nice, and accomplished, 'go' at the old beautiful Irish Air and would just like to say a BIG THANKS, BRO, FOR POSTING IT! Not you, Derek, I know u didn't post it. U just like it like me.good on yer
