Actually, paddystoff, Japan contributes only 4.9% to CO2 emissions. Though this number is quite high, it ranks in at only 6th in the world (U.S.A= 22.4% #1, Canada, Russia, Germany, U.K.) And please don't refer to the Asian countries as "that area". They are individual countries that differ in size, population, and government. And by the way, China and India are at 13th and 14th place for CO2 emissions. I'm not attacking you or anything, just get your facts straight before you make a statement.
