@shepherdskin - I'd say its the other way round. It's the operators inability to be reasonable that nearly cost her dad's life.People swear in stressful situations. Instead of the cop letting it go and finding out what has happened he has a go at her for swearing.She clearly stated her address and that she needed an ambulance yet he didn't ask for additional info, he hung up on her. I'd be pretty pissed off too.

yeah but people under severe stress do not act rationally, whereas a dispatch officer and especially a police officer should be able to be to handle that kind of scenario.

control freak! Probably poorly trained to deal with distraught people. She did nothing to deserve the treatment he gave her. 911 is not his personal playground where he gets to decide who gets help and who doesn't. He was even belligerent with the reporter who tried to speak with him. This is not the right job for this guy.

that is not true what that reporter said abusing 911 is an arrestable offence,dont believe me start calling 911 over and over and see if you dont get dragged downtown, though that doesnt have anything to do with this situation, that girl and her family should sue there asses and that cop shouldnt even be able to work security at toys r us
