If you look at just this one example of a 911 call i can understand how you could agree with either side. But after watching people call 911 over not getting their order right at macdonalds, its not hard to side with the officer. It doesnt matter what job you work at, if the first thing you hear is someone being hostile with you its not a good way to get your cooperation.

Not only did he hang up on her, when she ran to the police station to get help in person, the dickhead arrested her, making up a charge. All he got was a two week suspension with no pay and will be sent for more training. EPIC FAIL!

To be clear, an officer took that call not a 911 dispatcher. Why, who knows. But this isn't about dispatcher misconduct, it is about a untrained officer handling the call.....who by the way should be thrown in jail. As a dispatcher this made me sick. We get cursed at almost daily, that is common and how some people in an emergency situation deal with being upset. If the person answering the 911 call can't put that aside and do their job, they have NO business anywhere near that phone.

9-1-1- calls are emotional. The person accepting them needs to put their personal feelings aside and not take things so directly. She wasn't swearing AT him originally, she was swearing out of frustration. It's not his job to teach manners - it's to HELP people...

I think that the girl mistreated the suitation. The "send the Fucking ambulance quote was nesscary." But I certainly don't blame her, and the cop handled the suitation much worse. What kind of FUCKING dolt hands a FUCKING 911 call like that? Not only do I think he should be fire, I think that if he or a family member tries to dial 911 then a police unit should be dispatched to his house to falsely put cuffs on his sorry ass.
