I saw it twice hence I wrote what I wrote. Your fixation on American police slash gang's plot was based on western culture only, specifically "American culture" therefore this new kind of plot may seen to you like a new dazzling / amazing entertainment, but for those who grew up watching Hong Kong's 90s police film. "The Departed", as far as plot goes, has nothing special and the acting wasn't stellar either.And next time u want to refute someone else argument think before u write it.

Is my Walken any worse than Jack Nicholson's so-called "performance" in The Departed? That scene in the bar is particularly bad, which is why we chose it. Bad writing. Bad acting. Bad everything. Take out Jack, drop in Keitel, and you have a better movie.
