Remember this is the 50's and 60's where things were different in society. The narrator is not going about it the correct way, it is never too late to change one's own behavior. Not everyone is that cheery in the morning like Helen!! The narrator calls the other girl names which is a form of verbal abuse using "dog trott" for her walk to school? Come on!! The girl is crying at the end of the video, would you treat a young girl that way, I don't think so!!
